With a small group, take a motor scooter on the pristine back-roads north of Galena to the Sinsinawa Mound, home of the Dominican order of sisters and an exquisite preservation of history, art and breathtaking views. At your own pace visit an original Blackhawk Fort, Fr. Samual Mazzuchelli Museum, the labyrinth and purchase some of the mounds famous homemade baked goods. Pies are made fresh every Friday am.
