The Galena Foundation continues to look for ways to preserve the endangered properties in Galena with historical significance. On July 29, 2021, we took another small step forward by accepting the donation of the house and property at 901 Fourth Street.

The Galena Foundation intends to clean up the property and inspect the foundation and structure of the house to determine its condition before beginning restorative work on the interior and exterior. After decades of neglect, the house is in fairly good condition, but it is in need of updating and remodeling.

The Galena Foundation is looking for a contractor or contractors who are willing to purchase the property and complete its restoration. If you are interested, please contact The Galena Foundation.
