62nd Annual Galena Lion's Club Pancake Breakfast

Galena Lions Club welcomes you to the 62nd annual Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, February 8 th, from 7 am to 12:30 pm. This community event will be held at the Galena High School
Cafeteria, 1206 Franklin Street in Galena, Illinois. Patrons will be offered all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, applesauce, orange juice, milk, and coffee. Admission is $10 for adults and
teens, $5 for children ages 6-12, and free for children 5 and younger.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the ongoing medical costs of Beth Berning. She is the
wife of Dusty, a mother of three, and the daughter-in-law of Tim and Lynn Berning of Galena.
Beth has endured treatments for colon cancer with multiple complications for nearly three years.
The club will also offer baked goods for sale, some of which patrons will want to take to their “big
game” parties later that day. A collection box for recycling eyeglasses and hearing aids will be
available, and everyone is sure to enjoy connecting with friends and family over breakfast.
From the 18th annual Galena Oktoberfest proceeds held last October, the Galena Lions Club
recently donated $5,000 to the United Churches of Galena Food Pantry for holiday meals. In
addition, the club provided $500 for the Galena Police Department’s “Brighter Christmas”
program for children and $ 2,500 to The Workshop Scholarship Program.
